Jessica Clayton Bio

 

Jessica Clayton currently serves as Chief Deputy for Brian Maughan, Oklahoma County Commissioner District 2. Clayton carries more than two decades of leadership. Her previous roles include President and CEO of Daily Living Centers, providing life-saving respite for caregivers and vital services for senior adults and adults with disabilities; executive positions at Mercy Health Foundation, First United Bank, and FirstBank. She is passionate about advocacy, building strong relationships, strategic planning, and servant leadership. She leads with character, cultivates growth, and positively impacts culture. 

 

Born and raised in Oklahoma, Clayton pours her heart and soul into her community. She serves on the Supervisory Committee for Oklahoma’s Credit Union and on the board for Oklahoma Alliance on Aging and Greater Love OKC. Clayton has proudly served as Honorary Commander for the 552nd Air Wing Control at Tinker Air Force Base since 2018. 

 

Clayton is an artist inspired by the beauty of nature. Her most recent body of work is called, “The Art of Joy.” Following in her mother’s footsteps, she graduated with a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Central Oklahoma. While taking art classes she met her husband, Timothy. They just celebrated 20 years together and have three children Hannah, Elijah, and Samuel. They own a residential and commercial construction company called American Construction and operate/pastor God’s Tabernacle of Praise, referred to in the community as the “TP Church.” Clayton is known for her love of animals including their seven parrots and three giant sulcata tortoises.
